Next St Pat's Races - Saturday 19 March, 2011.

The feature event on the local calendar is the fantastic St Patrick's Races. The biggest day of year, the race day attracts locals and visitors from near and far as people flock to this acclaimed Australian event to enjoy a superb day of outback racing.

Broken Hill is located 1200km west of Sydney, 500km north east of Adelaide and 800km north of Melbourne. The famous Silver City is renowned for its mining history, great outback scenery, fabulous local artists and the St Pat's races.

The St Pat's Race Club will celebrate its 46th Annual Race Meeting on Saturday 19 March 2011. 

The inaugural committee never envisaged in mid 1965 when the idea of the race day was conceived, that St Pat's would still be racing some 45 years later. Having attracted many thousands of visitors to Broken Hill during that time, it has become a re-union of past patrons, ex-patriots, whilst welcoming new racing enthusiasts to the St Pat's experience.

Traditionally held two weeks before Easter next year, RacingNSW in consultation with the Race Club has recently allocated the next three years race dates as the Saturday, closest by date to St Patrick's Day.

In 2011 St Pat's will be held on Saturday 19th March, in 2012 Saturday17th March and in 2013 Saturday 16th March.
